Job Description

Job Title: Store Manager

Reports To: District Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

 

Summary: Develops and leads a team that consistently grows store profitability by providing the highest level of customer service and practicing efficient store operations by performing the following duties.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Recruits, hires, trains, conducts performance reviews, counsels, disciplines, and terminates.*
  2. Trains, coaches, and manages all associates in execution of daily tasks.*
  3. Maintains proper RTO and Pawn inventory levels as directed by the General Office including vendors, P.O.'s, and receiving.*
  4. Reviews daily reports and records to ensure adherence to store policies and procedures.*
  5. Helps solve problems that affect the store's service, efficiency, and productivity.*
  6. Ensures that physical facilities comply with safety codes.*
  7. Responsible for the overall appearance of the store including the display of RTO and Pawn sales floor.*
  8. Executes local store marketing aggressively.*
  9. Provides and inspires outstanding service to our customers.*
  10. Protects all company assets.*
  11. Monitors RTO and Pawn delinquency rates and verifies that accounts are kept within company guidelines.*
  12. Manages store fleet of vehicles.*
  13. Works to reduce profitability losses due to theft, vandalism, or incorrect business procedures including loss prevention.*
  14. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, Ideal Software Systems, and PawnMaster Software.

 

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
