Job Description

Job Title: Delivery and Installation Specialist

Reports To: Store Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

 

Summary: Responsible for the delivery, set up, service, and retrieval of products to and from customer's homes by performing the following duties.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  1. Loads products into delivery truck properly and securely by using straps and pads to avoid damage during transit.*
  2. Investigates delivery location to ensure the product will be in a safe environment and the product is delivered to the proper person.*
  3. Explains the rental agreement to the customer in some cases.*
  4. Explains and demonstrates the various features and benefits of the product before leaving the home.*
  5. Retrieves products from the homes of customers who choose not to renew the rental agreement.*
  6. Repairs, cleans, and moves products from the stockroom to the sales floor for display.*
  7. Documents and receives customers payment successfully in the field and store.*
  8. Protects the company image by safely and courteously operating the company vehicles.*
  9. Performs preventative and routine maintenance on delivery vehicles.*
  10. Helps maintain the backroom in a safe, clean, and organized condition.*
  11. Uses equipment to transport product in a safe and damage free manner.*
  12. Maintains complete knowledge of the castle plan, rental agreement, and other benefit plans.*
  13. Responsible for products being complete in all pieces, parts, accessories, and manuals during delivery and pickup.*
  14. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid state motor vehicle operator's license with evidence of safety and insurability

  • Hand truck
  • Dolly
